Savory Brisket & Shrimp Ramen
A rich, umami-heavy ramen bowl that combines tender, seared beef brisket with succulent shrimp in a deeply flavored beef broth.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb Beef brisket, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1/2 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 package Ramen noodles
- 3 cups Beef broth
- 1-2 Eggs
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Red pepper flakes or garlic powder (from pantry)
Instructions
Sear the meats separately to develop a crust and prevent the broth from becoming overly cloudy.
- Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Gently lower the egg into the water and boil for 6-7 minutes for a jammy yolk. Immediately transfer to an ice bath, peel, and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Season brisket with salt and pepper, then sear until browned and slightly crispy. Remove brisket from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the shrimp. Cook for 2 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside with the beef.
- Pour the beef broth into the pan. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the ramen noodles to the simmering broth and cook for 2–3 minutes until tender.
- Pour the noodles and broth into deep bowls. Top with the seared brisket, shrimp, and the halved soft-boiled egg.
Season with extra pepper or red pepper flakes for heat.
