Bacon Flatbread Swiss Cheese Yellow Mustard Butter Lettuce

Crispy Bacon & Swiss Flatbread Melt

A warm, toasted flatbread featuring savory melted Swiss cheese and salty bacon, accented by a tangy mustard spread.

Ingredients

  • 2 flatbreads
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 4–6 leaves butter lettuce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

Aim for a crispy bread base and bubbly, melted cheese.

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.
  2. Spread yellow mustard evenly across the surface of both flatbreads.
  3. Top the mustard-coated flatbreads with the shredded Swiss cheese and the cooked bacon pieces.
  4. Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the flatbreads in the skillet and cover with a lid for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the bottom of the flatbread is golden and crisp.
  5. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Serve immediately with fresh butter lettuce leaves on the side to add a cool, crisp contrast to the warm melt.
